Compass Learning Studio is a small, teacher-led learning program designed for families seeking an alternative to traditional classroom schooling. Our approach emphasizes hands-on learning, movement, curiosity, and developmentally appropriate instruction in a calm, supportive environment.

Compass Learning Studio is being thoughtfully developed to meet the needs of young learners and their families who value flexibility, individualized attention, and a whole-child approach to education.

Who Compass Learning Studio Is For

Compass Learning Studio is designed for a very small group of children in the early elementary years, including:

  • Kindergarten

  • First grade

  • Second grade

  • (Limited consideration for third grade)

This program may be a good fit for families who:

  • Are homeschooling or exploring homeschooling

  • Are seeking a smaller, quieter learning environment

  • Value hands-on, play-informed learning

  • Want consistency, routine, and individualized instruction

Our Learning Approach

Learning at Compass Learning Studio is intentionally designed to be:

  • Hands-on and interactive

  • Movement-rich, with opportunities for active learning

  • Thematic and integrated, connecting subjects naturally

  • Developmentally appropriate, meeting children where they are

Instruction is aligned with Oklahoma Academic Standards and includes:

  • Literacy and phonics

  • Mathematics

  • Science and social studies integrated throughout the day

  • Creative expression, outdoor learning, and exploration

Current Status: Planning Phase

Compass Learning Studio is currently in the planning and development phase for a future Fall start.

At this time:

  • Enrollment is not yet open

  • Families may express interest

  • Additional details will be shared as planning progresses

Enrollment Size & Structure

Compass Learning Studio is intentionally small.

  • Enrollment will be limited

  • Instruction is provided in a small-group setting

  • This is a private-pay program

  • Before- and after-care are not part of the microschool day

This structure allows for individualized attention and a calm, focused learning environment.

The instructional day at Compass Learning Studio runs from:

9:00 AM – 3:45 PM

Each day includes:

  • Breakfast

  • Lunch

  • Afternoon snack

  • Instructional learning blocks

  • Outdoor play and movement

  • Hands-on activities and exploration

Compass Learning Studio operates on a September–May school-year calendar.
