Melissa is the owner and lead teacher at Wee Play and Learn Together. Before starting this daycare, she worked for many years as a special education teacher and later at the administrative level in her local school district. Education and supporting families has always been close to her heart.

In 2023, she made the decision to open a licensed home daycare so she could stay home with her grandchildren—who also attend and learn alongside our other little ones. Wee Play and Learn Together is built on the idea that children learn best when they feel safe, loved, and encouraged to explore the world around them.

Every day, she combines her professional background with the joy of being a grandmother “GaGa” to create a space where kids are free to play, grow, and thrive.

Kellie brings a nurturing spirit and deep family-centered values to Wee Play and Learn Together. As a proud mom of four and stepmom to three more, she has spent many years as a stay-at-home mom, creating a loving and supportive environment for her blended family. She is happily married and has always extended her care beyond her own home—welcoming nieces, neighborhood kids, and her children’s friend's with open arms and an open heart.

Now with two of her youngest children attending the daycare, Kellie brings that same energy and commitment into the daily rhythm of our program. Her experience raising a large family gives her a unique ability to connect with children of all ages, offering calm, consistency, and kindness to every child she meets.

Katlyn, or "Kate” as the kids call her, is the youngest member of our team and brings a wonderful blend of youthful energy and calm presence to Wee Play and Learn Together. A 2025 high school graduate, she began volunteering with us every day after school back in 2023 and quickly become a natural in the daycare environment.

With her quiet, soothing personality and genuine love for children, Kate easily connects with each child—whether she’s joining in a game of tag, rolling toy cars across the floor, or sitting down for a board game. Her ability to meet the children where they are makes her a valued part of our team, and a favorite among the kids.
